Congrats to Two Icebulls!

Defenseman Matt Anderson and goaltender Jason Smith were nominated to be on the Division 3 South All-Star team. They will compete in Philadelphia, PA March 25th-28. It will consist of 4 games against the teams with top players from around the country. Congrats to them and their accomplishments.

Congrats to the Icebulls for making to Regionals as the 9th seed! They will face the #4 Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday night at 6:30 pm in Pelham, Alabama.

The Icebulls would like to thank the Hernando County Alumni chapter for their support of the Icebulls. Part of their mission as an Alumni Chapter is to support USF's athletic teams and clubs. Because of this, they have chosen to make the Ice Bulls ice hockey club our Chapters primary target to support next to the football team.

Icebulls Face Off Against Knights Saturday!

The #6 USF Icebulls will take on #2 UCF Knights at home this Saturday at the Ice Sports Forum at 9 p.m. They look to continue their hot streak after beating the #7 FAU Owls and #1 FGCU Eagles in the Maddi Goss Tournament two weeks ago. The Bulls also play the Knights Friday night in Orlando at 10:15 pm. With wins against the Knights this weekend, the Icebulls would all but solidify a berth at Regionals in Pelham, Alabama. Come out and support your Icebulls!

FGCU wins Maddi Goss Tournament

Congratulations to FGCU for winning the Maddi Goss tournament defeating LIFE University 19-1. The Icebulls were able to raise over $5,000 this year for Maddi. Thanks to all those that supported this great cause and thanks to the teams that came out.

The USF Icebulls downed the FGCU Eagles in the Maddi Goss tournament by a score of 3-2 in a shootout. It was one of the most exciting games in team history and all but secures them a spot in Regionals in February. Congrats Bulls!

USF drops 2 to each to FGCU and UCF

The icebulls lost two games at the end of the semester to UCF, 5-2 and 9-2 respectively. January 8 and 9, the bulls lost to FGCU 9-4 and 10-2.

Icebulls drop game 1 vs. UCF

The UCF Knights defeated the Icebulls in Orlando, Florida last night 5-2. Coming into tonight's game, UCF was ranked #1 in the region. The game started with a questionable penalty call against the Icebulls. It only got worse from there. The team racked up 15 penalty minutes in the first period alone. The frustrated Icebulls managed to escape the first period down only 1-0.

Late in the second period, Aly Dhanani shot the puck off the crossbar and in. This would have made the game 3-2, but the goal was called back. Fitting to the way the calls went that night against the Icebulls, the officials did not see it go in and did not allow the goal.

All in all, it wasn't a bad performance against the #1 ranked team considering the obstacles set in front of them. The Icebulls look to bounce back Saturday night as they face the Knights at home at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon at 9pm. Be sure to come out and support your Icebulls!

Icebulls win Greg Stathis Tournament!

The Icebulls came back from Georgia after winning the Greg Stathis Memorial Tournament after beating the University of Georgia 3-0 Sunday morning. They ended the weekend with a 2-1 record. Saturday afternoon's 5-4 loss to Clemson was a close hard-fought game. USF was able to bounce back the next day and win the tournament by beating Georgia. Overall, this was a strong performance by the Icebulls as they look to push back into the top 10. They take on the UCF knights in two weeks on Friday and Saturday.
